Strong Progress in Kitchener
Construction continues at the Homer Watson business park, with work underway on all three building sites. The project has been progressing well – with the cold and wet weather behind us and the warm weather approaching. We are working on completing the project at a strong pace.
Starting with Building 1, with a great effort in completing the civil works, nearly all site services have been installed and the clearing and grading of the site is well underway. The building perimeter foundation has commenced and is progressing well.
In regards to Building 2, Ball is glad to report that the foundation is fully complete, and the erection of the steel is near its completion. As the building structure finalizes, the precast panels of the building envelope are next to be installed, moving the project into the subsequent stage. Concurrently, the civil crews are arranging for the completion of the remaining site services connections and working away on bringing the site to its final subgrade.
Lastly, Building 3 has site clearing and stripping in progress as well as the preparation of the working mat for the ground improvement scope of work, expected to commence shortly.
Currently, Ball is still on track for reaching its target to complete Building 2 in the fall of this year and Buildings 1 & 3 in the summer of 2023.
