Ball Replaces Rink Refrigeration System at River Oaks
The Town of Oakville needed to replace the refrigeration system of Rink B at River Oaks Community Centre, located at 2400 Sixth Line in Oakville.
Rink B had ongoing brine leaks in the refrigerated slab, ammonia contamination in the brine system and other refrigeration equipment failures. Ball’s work includes replacing the refrigeration plant and the refrigerated concrete slab, the underfloor piping, dasher boards, glass, rubber flooring and benches and various touch ups.
The rink pour occurred February 12 and reinstallation of the dasher boards began March 2.
