Saugeen Shores Presents Unique Opportunity for Community Involvement

The Saugeen Shores Aquatic Centre is making significant strides, with an anticipated completion date set for Fall 2025. Recently, the Gymnasium SOG was successfully poured really bringing the space to life. The next phase of the project will involve excavating for the pools, which will feature an 8-lane lap pool measuring 25 meters, and a leisure pool with many water features.

As winter approaches, efforts are concentrated on enclosing the building’s envelope – IMP’s, Masonry, Siding, & Roofing are all being completed to safeguard the project from the impending harsh weather conditions.

The community has a unique opportunity to participate in this initiative by purchasing a Commemorative Brick, which will be installed on the patio adjacent to the community rooms of the new Aquatic and Wellness Centre. These bricks are available for a minimum donation of $250 and can be purchased by both individuals and companies. Proceeds from the brick sales will contribute to the health and wellness of the residents of Saugeen Shores. The centre’s opening will occur in multiple phases, as Ball is also managing renovations of the existing aquatic centre. These upgrades aim to enhance the functionality of the current municipal offices. The renovations are expected to be completed by early 2025, enabling municipal employees to commence the new year in a revitalized and improved work environment.
