Project Details
Ball Construction is proud to have worked for many years with TG Minto Corporation, a global company that researches, develops and manufactures products for various industries, from Tier-1 automotive to agriculture and telecommunications.
This special project involved a 58,625 square-foot interior renovation and tenant fit-out in Palmerston, Ontario.
The Challenge
The schedule for the work was directly tied into receiving and setting up equipment to begin making product for the highly competitive automotive industry. TG had made client commitments and we were not about to let them down. Therefore, it was critical to maintain and not disrupt existing tenant operations, including vital shipping and receiving functions during construction and renovation of the space and exterior parking lot expansions.
Coordination and planning with multiple parties was crucial due to all the electrical, mechanical and building tie-ins. We were also tasked with installing a new transformer to increase the facility’s power capacity.
The Ball Solution
Keeping all the sub-trades organized and aware of the schedule was a daily function. Ball worked extensively with all stakeholders to complete the necessary tasks quickly and efficiently with no disruption or down-time.
Through quality assurance programs, our on-site personnel worked closely with the TG staff to ensure we met and exceeded expectations. Our system of organization and construction task-phasing meant that we not only completed the project on time but that it was of the highest quality.
As always, the first priority was safety and there was no lost time due to injury on this project.
Another satisfied and repeat client, TG Minto has continued to rely on Ball for many subsequent expansions and renovations.
